Dave helped me go from "ASS" to "Class"

If you're picking up a Digitakt 2 and want to get productive fast, this course is it. I bought both the DT2 and DN2 courses and they've been worth every penny.

What sets this apart from the usual "here's what every button does" walkthrough is that Dave doesn't just teach you the machine — he teaches you how to actually make music with it. The production tips alone are gold: microtiming tricks to get grooves that breathe, layering kicks and bass so they hit without fighting each other, smart track organization so you're not lost in your own project.

The learning progression is real and fast. You start with something rough and by the end of each lesson you've got something that actually sounds polished and intentional. That's a rare skill to teach and he does it well.

Highly recommended for anyone getting into the Elektron workflow, i considered myself a beginner before the course but now feel very comfortable using both the DT2 and the DN2.

Happy Beginner

I picked up Digitakt this month. And going through tutorials after tutorials on youtube, still feel like walking in the woods, full of great views but get lost where I was from time to time. I decided to try Dave's master course and very glad I did.

It's very thorough, with good pace and calm vibe. And the structure is perfect.
I came with a basket of random knowledge from youtube videos, but still learnt something new every class. And in the end it connected all dots and make things clear.
There's also lots of detailed informations that worth coming back to as I gain more practice in the future.
Can't recommend enough for beginners.

One of the best investments into your passion

Even if you think you know your way around Elektron gear, Dave showers you with hidden tricks and straightforward frameworks to optimize your ideation, workflow, live performance, sound design, and mixing.

I never buy courses. As a self-taught YouTube student and manual reader, I've always believed that getting into the trenches, devouring Elektronauts threads, and occasionally banging your head yields the results you need. But after upgrading from DT to DT II and hitting a creative block, I decided to pull the trigger. Yes, it's pricey at first glance (I cancelled my cart more times than I'd like to admit), but holy fucking shit (sorry Dave), it's worth every penny and a better ROI for your craft than whatever piece of gear you're currently eyeing.

The course is dense and, in my opinion, requires you to sit in front of your DT II and work alongside the videos, pausing to experiment before returning. You'll come back to refresh your memory on particular functions. But that's a feature, not a bug: while extremely newbie-friendly (even if this is your first drum machine ever), there's no fluff or cookie-cutter content. Even the introductory chapters had information that was completely new to me.

One small flag: Dave's new course platform is a major improvement over clunky Gumroad, but I wish there were an option to download videos locally. I know the internet probably isn't going anywhere, but I prefer having local access to knowledge like this, especially something I'll be returning to for years. I'd be happy to pay extra for that option. Still, I'd buy this course again without hesitation.

Worth every penny

Still only in the early part of the course but have already learned so much! I’ve had the Digitakt II since last May and made slow progress myself with YouTube tutorials. I’d highly recommend this to everyone who wants to learn more about these amazing machines. Dave’s teaching style is perfect for me, everything explained clearly and at the right pace.
